In addition to making phones, Samsung also makes displays. Over the years, the company has demonstrated its display tech by using their phones to show off what they can do. This includes screens that can be folded, and prior to that, the company worked on displays that were curved.
The company applied these displays to many of its flagship phones, but come the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung could be returning to regular flat displays. This is according to a post on X by tipster Ice Universe who believes that the Galaxy S24 Ultra could see the return of more traditional flat displays.
Guessing from the 79mm width and some other information, the S24 Ultra is likely to be a flat screen.

The current Galaxy S23 Ultra has a flat-ish display. The main portion of the screen is flat, but the sides are a little curved. It does make the phone look sleek and futuristic, but it can be a pain if you’re trying to use it with the S Pen, so by bringing back flat displays, it could alleviate that problem.
Another upside to flat displays is that it makes the phone easier to hold and less slippery because of the display, plus it makes finding screen protectors a lot easier. Of course, this is just speculation and not a confirmed rumor, so take it with a grain of salt, but what do you think? Is the return of a flat display a good or bad thing?
