The last time we saw the Galaxy Buds from Samsung it was back in 2021 with the Galaxy Buds 2 series, which means that it is about time that the company launched a new model. For those who have been hoping to see a new and improved model, you could be in luck.
This is according to a report from GalaxyClub.nl who has revealed that Samsung is indeed working on a new model with the model number SM-R400N. Apart from the model number, not much is known about this particular set of earbuds, but this is apparently the non-Pro model as the Pro models usually have the model numbers SM-R5xx.
This means that this particular model could just be the regular Galaxy Buds 3, but it doesn’t mean that there isn’t a Pro model in the works, it could be just that it hasn’t been leaked yet. We’re not sure what to expect from the newer models, but presumably better sound quality, noise cancellation, and battery life are safe things to look forward to.
In terms of their launch, it’s odd that Samsung skipped the announcement during their Galaxy Z Fold and Flip series, which means that it could be announced alongside the Galaxy S23 FE. Worst case, it could even be delayed to 2024 where it could debut with the Galaxy S24 series.
We suppose refreshing earbuds every year isn’t completely necessary, but if you love the Galaxy Buds series and would like a new model, then maybe hold off from buying the Galaxy Buds 2 for now and hopefully the Buds 3 will be announced soon.
