If there is one problem with Meta’s Threads, it is that it is only available on mobile. If you’re someone who spends most of their time in front of their PCs, it isn’t as convenient to access Threads unless you’re checking your phone all the time.
The good news is that it looks like things could be changing soon. A report from the Wall Street Journal cites people familiar with Meta’s plans and claims that a web version of Threads could be launching this week. Keep in mind that apparently the timeline isn’t final yet and things could change, but assuming it doesn’t, we could finally see a web version this week.
A web version would most definitely go a long way in encouraging users to use the platform. Like we said, not everyone is on their phones all the time, so having a web version that users can browse from the comfort of their desks and PCs could help stop the number of users who are leaving the platform.
While Threads did get off to a good start, recent reports have revealed that the number of users on the platform have dropped by quite a significant amount. A web version could help stop the bleed and even boost the number of users, but we’ll have to wait and see.
