As we get nearer to the launch of this year’s Google Pixel 8 series, a lot of folks are also expecting that Google will unveil its newest smartwatch this year, in the form of the Pixel Watch 2. With that in mind, the device has been spotted online by way of an FCC listing, and more recently on the Google Play Console, with the codename “eos”.

As reported by the team over at MySmartPrice, it’s expected that Google might launch the Pixel Watch 2 alongside the Pixel 8 phones. It will most likely come with LTE and Wifi versions, with four different strap options for sale.

In terms of design, the Pixel Watch 2 will look very similar to its predecessor, with a circular design, a round dial and physical button on the righthand side, and a touch display that measures 384×384 pixels. Inside, the Pixel Watch 2 will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 platform, alongside 2GB of RAM and Wear OS 4, and will be powered by a 306 mAh battery.

With regards to the processor, the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 is bound to be a massive upgrade in performance, as last year’s first-generation Pixel Watch used an older Samsung-based processor. As such, the Pixel Watch 2 is shaping up to be an exciting device, especially for Pixel fans.
