TCL Launches its TAB Disney Edition 2 Tablet
TCL recently announced that it will be launching a new tablet aimed for youngsters and families, the TCL TAB Disney Edition 2. In addition to a full suite of parent and kid-friendly apps, the TAB Disney Edition 2 also serves as a portable entertainment hub into Disney’s large catalogue of content and learning media.
In terms of hardware, the tablet comes with an 8-inch HD display, encased in a protective bumper case that should reduce drops and bumps, and comes with a kickstand making it ideal for viewing when on a table or desktop. The Disney Edition 2 also packs 4GB of RAM, as well as 64GB of expandable storage which supports micro SD cards of up to 512GB capacity.
The tablet also features a dual 8 and 5MP camera setup, which means you can also use it for video calls and such. Inside is a 5,500 mAh battery which should be more than enough to last several hours’ worth of usage and content streaming.
Speaking of content, the tablet also comes pre-loaded with 9 unique games and puzzles from Disney, including content from the company’s many franchises such as Pixar and Star Wars, to name a couple. In addition to Wifi, the tablet also supports Verizon 4G LTE connectivity.
In terms of availability, the TCL TAB Disney Edition 2 will be available at Verizon stores and Verizon.com on August 17th for $199 MSRP.
