Xiaomi’s been building up its tablet selection lately, with the company recently unveiling the Redmi Pad SE, a budget-friendly tablet that the company says is designed for students and young professionals looking for a relatively-affordable Android tablet.
In terms of hardware, the Redmi Pad SE comes with an 11-inch display with an FHD+ resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio, alongside a rather modest 400 nits of brightness, and up a 90Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi says that the tablet comes with “Reading Mode 3.0”, a feature that’s designed to give users reading comfort with “classic” and “paper” modes.
The tablet is built with an aluminum allow unibody, with comes with a quad-speaker setup, and a design that’s reminiscent of the Redmi Note 12 series. It also comes in purple, gray, and mint green color variants. Inside you’ll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage, as well as an 8,000 mAh battery.
Other features include an 8MP main camera, 5MP front-facing camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Android 13 with MIUI Pad 14 on top. The tablet starts at around $216 for the 4GB + 128GB base model, and around $270 for the 8GB + 128GB variant.
