It looks like Vivo is getting closer and closer to launching its newest addition to its device lineup in the form of the Vivo Pad Air, a new Android tablet. With that in mind the device was teased by Jia Jindong, Vivo’s Vice President and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, showing off several promotional photos of the device.
Based on the product renders, Vivo is really leaning into the “air” part of the product’s name, showing the tablet surrounded by clouds and skies. It also features the tablet’s overall look and design, as well as the camera module on the device’s rear panel.
In terms of hardware, the Vivo Pad Air is expected to come with a large 11.5-inch display with 2.8k resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, although the device will sport an LCD panel instead of an OLED or AMOLED screen. Inside, the tablet will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, a somewhat older flagship SoC, but we wouldn’t exactly call it a terrible chip.
Additionally, the device will run on a pretty large 8,500 mAh battery with support for 44W charging speeds, and will come encased in a metal chassis for an added premium build. The tablet will feature a modified version of Android in the form of OriginOS 3, which comes with exclusive Vivo apps and software features.
