As OnePlus draws nearer and nearer to launching the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, we’ve seen more details about the phone pop up online. With that being said, the company officially confirmed that the upcoming handset will pack a never-seen-before hardware feature, at least up until now.
More specifically, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will pack 24GB of RAM onboard, making it the first smartphone ever to feature such a large amount of memory. By comparison, most smartphones come with 12GB of RAM, although ASUS’ ROG Phones feature up to 18GB.
The RAM inside the Ace 2 Pro is reportedly made by SK Hynix, a South Korean manufacturer which specializes in dynamic RAM components. Other hardware details include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, with up to 1TB of internal storage.
Additionally, it’s expected that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will feature a Q9+ OLED Display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 150W fast charging.
In other OnePlus-related news, it’s reported that the company’s foldable might launch at a later date than previously expected, due to quality control issues with the display on the device.
