While Huawei’s smartphones and tablets don’t necessarily run a “Google-fied” version of Android, the company’s devices are still powered by Google’s flagship mobile platform at their very core, albeit in a more heavily-customized manner in the form of HarmonyOS.
Now in its fourth iteration, HarmonyOS has begun rolling out for several Huawei devices. Officially referred to as “HarmonyOS 4.0.0.108 “, the latest platform update will be compatible with a wide range of devices, which are listed below. One caveat however is that the platform is currently in Beta mode, so users might experiences some occasional glitches until Huawei releases the official stable version.
Among the changes and new features included in HarmonyOS are personalized and interactive themes, live windows, enhancements to the notification center, Childern’s Remote Guardian, as well as an Elderly Care feature, to name a few.
