WhatsApp’s latest update brings screen sharing to the app

0

Compared to other messenger platforms like Google Meet and Zoom, WhatsApp does feel a bit lacking. This isn’t to say the app isn’t good. It’s perfect if you need to just chat with friends and family members, send media files, and so on, but if you need it for productivity purposes, it is missing some features that other apps have.

For those who use WhatsApp a lot and might be considering using it for productivity at work, then you might be interested to learn that an announcement by Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg has revealed that a recent update to the app is introducing the ability to share your screen.

The feature was actually initially revealed in the beta version of the app earlier this year, but this announcement means that the feature is now ready for the public to use. With screen sharing, users will be able to share details on their phone like their notes or their slides. It can also be useful if you need to show someone something, like how to use a particular function on their phone, and so on.

It won’t just be limited to mobile as it appears that the feature will also be making its way onto Windows. If you don’t see it yet, don’t worry because it is being rolled out in stages, so it should make its way to you eventually.
