Honor’s IFA 2023 keynote could see them announce a new foldable flip phone

0

Last month, Honor announced its latest foldable phone, the Honor Magic V2. Unfortunately, at the time of the announcement, the handset’s availability seemed to be limited to just China and it was unclear if we could see its launch in international markets, but that could change soon.

Honor has confirmed that they will be hosting a keynote speech at IFA 2023 at 10AM CEST on the 1st of September in Berlin. While the company did not explicitly mention what would be announced, the teaser image on its IFA page suggests that it will be related to foldables and that an international launch for the Magic V2 could also be announced then.

What’s interesting about this teaser is that it also shows a silhouette of a phone that looks like a flip device. So far, Honor’s foldable launches have been in the same vein as Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series, which is a phone that can transform into a tablet. The teaser image now suggests that Honor could be adding a new flip foldable to its lineup. This could be a good move by Honor, especially since flip foldables tend to be more favored due to its more affordable price.

Either way, we should have more details come September, so be sure to check back with us next month for more details about Honor’s foldables and other device launches that could also take place at IFA 2023.
