In 2024, Samsung will announce their next-gen flagship phones, the Galaxy S24 series. If you’re holding off on the Galaxy S23 this year and are hoping that maybe next year’s models will bring in larger batteries, you might be a little disappointed, especially if the Galaxy S24 Ultra is the model you have your eye on.
This is according to a post by Ice Universe on X where they revealed the potential battery sizes of the Galaxy S24+ and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Assuming these documents are accurate, the Galaxy S24+ will have a 4,900mAh battery which is 200mAh larger than its predecessor which has a 4,700mAh battery.
Breaking!
Samsung Galaxy S24+ and S24 Ultra battery information is 4755mAh and 4855mAh, and typical values are about 4900mAh and 5000mAh. pic.twitter.com/qDMjXSn8OE— ICE UNIVERSE (@UniverseIce) July 31, 2023
But for the Ultra model, it seems that Samsung will be sticking with a 5,000mAh battery, the same as the Galaxy S23 Ultra. If this is true, the Galaxy S24 Ultra might be one of the most disappointing flagship phones of 2024. This is because in addition to the battery, previous reports suggested that the design might not change too much from the Galaxy S23 Ultra, save for the use of the titanium frame.
If that is the case, apart from the increase in performance from the (presumed) use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, we’re not sure if there’s really any good reason to wait. Either way, it’s still too early to confirm anything so take this report with a pinch of salt for now.
