These Samsung Phones Won’t be Getting One UI 6
While Samsung generally does a good job of providing security and software updates to its devices both new and old, there inevitably comes a period when a smartphone might be too old or has been “phased out” from the market for a considerable amount of time. In that case, manufacturers often cease sending out newer software updates or support for that device.
With that in mind, it’s been reported that several older Samsung handsets won’t be able to receive the upcoming One UI 6 and Android 14 update. This also includes devices which are stuck on Android versions older than Android 13. The list below includes the following Samsung devices:
- Galaxy S10 Lite
- Galaxy S20 FE
- Galaxy S20 / Galaxy S20+ / Galaxy S20 Ultra
- Galaxy Note 10 Lite
- Galaxy Note 20 / Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Flip (LTE/5G)
- Galaxy Z Fold 2
- Galaxy A22 (LTE/5G)
- Galaxy A32 (LTE/5G)
- Galaxy A51
- Galaxy A71
- Galaxy Tab A8
- Galaxy Tab A7 Lite
- Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020)
- Galaxy Tab S7 / Galaxy Tab S7+
It’s important to note that the phones mentioned above will still be getting security patches which should extend their usability, although users might miss out on any new software features and apps which will come with One UI 6.
