Sony’s Xperia 5 V Leaks Online

Sony’s unveiling of this year’s Xperia 1 V and 10 V handsets has yielded some interesting reactions and reception from the internet, and it looks like the company’s third big reveal for 2023 has now been unofficially shared online, unsurprisingly through Reddit.

A Reddit user by the name of u/JB2unique posted a video of the yet-to-be-launched Sony Xperia 5 V, which features marketing material for Sony’s midrange handset. While the video was undeniably a flashy approach to advertising the phone, it mostly kept mum on the specifics regarding the phone’s hardware, although we did get a good look at its design.

Interestingly enough, it looks like the Xperia 5 V will come with one less camera lens, an odd decision given that both the Xperia 1 V and 10 V come with a triple-lens setup on the rear panel. The phone is also expected to come in three different colors, including your standard black and white, as well as a third blue variant.

Earlier on, it was reported that the phone will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, as well as up to 16GB of RAM, at least according to predictions online. With all that being said, no official price or launch date has been confirmed at the moment, so we’ll have to wait a bit more for a more “formal” announcement of sorts from Sony (or new leaks, at least).
