iTOUCH Wearables Air 4 Jillian Michaels Edition: An Affordable fitness-oriented smartwatch

0

Without fail, one of the more popular new year resolutions people set for themselves every year is to get fit/healthy, but after a few months, people tend to give up and fail. One of the reasons why is that sometimes people don’t set tangible goals for themselves, or don’t have a clear vision of what they want to achieve.

Maybe they want to be able to run that mile in a shorter time, maybe they want to hit the gym at least three times a week, maybe they want to be able to cycle for longer without tiring out so fast.

If you’re thinking that it’s time to take charge of your health and fitness goals, a smartwatch is a good place to start. There are so many options out there it can feel overwhelming, but if you’re new to wearables and don’t want to spend a few hundred dollars, then the iTOUCH Wearables Air 4 Jillian Michaels Edition is a good choice, and here’s why you might want to consider it as your next smartwatch.

Designed with Jillian Michaels

Pretty much all smartwatches these days have health and fitness-related features built into them. Those are usually some of the main selling points, but with the  iTOUCH Wearables Air 4 Jillian Michaels Edition, the company has actually worked together with well-known fitness personality Jillian Michaels. According to Alen Mamrout, CEO of American Exchange Group:

“We believe that wearable technology is the future of fitness and are proud to have a partner like Jillian who has been an expert in the health and wellness industry since the mid-2000s and a proponent for making a healthy lifestyle a priority. This is the first stepping stone into what we hope is a longstanding and fruitful partnership.”

The watch itself features a rather simple and straightforward look, which is fine because sometimes having a more subtle design makes it easier to match your clothes and fashion style, thus encouraging users to wear it daily. There are several options that users can choose from, from a more serious-looking black finish, to brighter finishes featuring a rose gold case with a blush pink strap, with more color options coming in the next few months.

The smartwatch will also be available in either 41mm or 46mm sizes, so depending on the size of your wrist, you should be able to find a size that fits you best. In addition, those who buy the smartwatch will be given a free 90-day membership to the Jillian Michaels Fitness app which comes with  personalized workout programs, custom meal plans, and more to get you started on your fitness journey.

Health features

As the  iTOUCH Wearables Air 4 Jillian Michaels Edition is a health and fitness-focused smartwatch, it shouldn’t be too surprising that it comes with a host of health and fitness features that could help you reach your fitness goals, or at least let you track them so you know what kind of progress you’re making.

There are health features like a heart rate monitor that keeps track of your heart. There is also a blood oxygen sensor that lets you know how well oxygen is being distributed in your body, and a low SpO2 level could mean something serious and could help you detect issues before it’s too late.

Now since fitness and health aren’t just about exercise, it involves the food we eat and the water we drink, the watch comes with a calorie tracker so you can input the calories you eat from your meals to make sure you stay within your goals. There’s also a hydration reminder to make sure you drink enough water every day.

Other health features that might come in handy include a sleep monitor, a sedentary reminder, and also relaxation mode if you find yourself feeling a little too stressed.

Workout tracking

When it comes to workouts, the iTOUCH Wearables Air 4 Jillian Michaels Edition doesn’t fall short. There are over 100 sports modes to choose from, so whether you’re going out for a run, or walking the treadmill, going on a bike ride, hiking, lifting weights, or doing yoga, there should be a mode for you to choose from that will help you track your activity.

There is also a built-in pedometer so even if you aren’t necessarily tracking your workouts, the pedometer will at the very least be able to log how many steps you take a day. Some people have advised that we should aim for around 5,000-10,000 steps a day to maintain our fitness levels, so the iTouch Air 4’s pedometer will be able to help you keep track of that.

You’ll also be pleased to learn that the device is water-resistant with an IP68 rating, so it should be able to withstand sweat or running water, just maybe don’t go deep sea diving with it and it should be fine.

Smartwatch features

At the end of the day, the  iTOUCH Wearables Air 4 Jillian Michaels Edition is still a smartwatch at heart. In a way this is better than a fitness tracker because it means that outside of the gym or exercise, it can still be very useful.

The iTouch Air 4 will allow users to receive message notifications as it comes in, show users the weather and forecast, play music, act as a camera remote, and can also be used to help find your phone in case you’ve misplaced it.

There are quite a few customizable and downloadable watch faces for users to choose from, so you don’t have to feel like you’re stuck with a single look as you’ll be able to find something that suits you. You also have the option to customize your own watch face using images from your phone, to make the watch truly your own.

Pricing & availability

If you’re interested in the iTOUCH Wearables Air 4 Jillian Michaels Edition, like we said earlier, it is one of the more affordable smartwatches around. Priced at $99.99, making it a good option for users to hop on board the smartwatch bandwagon without having to break the bank.
