New Security Patch Arrives for Galaxy S20 FE

0

Samsung has been keeping up with its software update schedule, allowing more of its devices to receive timely updates which (hopefully) provide better user experiences and remove unwanted bugs as well. With that said, the company has finally started rolling out its latest software patch for the Galaxy S20 FE. The newest update addresses some issues with Android, as well as the latest July 2023 security patch.

The new update comes with software version number G780FXXSDFWG3, and is now available for LTE and 5G variants of the device. The update is now available for several regions including countries in Asia, South America, Europe, and the Middle East.

Launched back in October of 2020, the Galaxy S20 FE came in two variants which featured either a Samsung Exynos or Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, a 6.5-inch AMOLED display, a triple-camera array, and launched with Android 10, with a later update to Android 12. The phone has since been succeeded by the Galaxy S21 FE, which was released in 2022.

To check if your phone can download the newest update, simply head into your “Settings” app, head over to “Software Update” and proceed to tap on “Download and Install” to begin the update process.
