There are many reasons why one might get a tablet. You could be someone who does a lot of photo and video editing and wants a rig that you can take with you on the road, and given how powerful some tablets are today, it’s actually a pretty legit mobile setup.
Or you could be someone who wants something to write on but doesn’t want to get a regular laptop due to their bulk and price. Or maybe you just want a device that has a larger screen so that you can enjoy your games or videos on a screen that’s bigger than that of your smartphone.
Whatever your reason is, there are various Android tablets out there to choose from. But if you’re not a particularly demanding user who needs super high-end hardware and wants something simple, then the Blackview 8 WiFi Tablet could be a good place to start.
One of the things we like about the Blackview 8 WiFi Tablet is its display. It features a massive 10.1-inch screen that would be perfect for watching videos while on the plane, or playing some games, or if you need to edit photos and want a screen that’s larger so that you can see the details more clearly.
The Blackview 8 WiFi Tablet’s display also features a 1280×800 resolution that uses an IPS panel, so everything should be relatively crisp and shown off in vivid colors, perfect for videos and games, or just general web surfing or reading an ebook or a website if that’s what you’re after.
It also could be used as a display for your smart home devices, like a home security camera or video doorbell. Given its price (which we will get to in a bit), it’s actually cheaper than some of the smart displays out there, plus it also can do more than just act as a display which might be more practical for some.
One of the good things about tablets is that due to their size, it means that it can fit a larger battery in its body, and the Blackview 8 WiFi Tablet is no exception. The company has managed to equip it with a 6,580mAh battery which according to Blackview, will offer users up to 360 hours of standby time, meaning that when not in use, it should last you almost two weeks!
For those who are planning to use it for web surfing or video watching, the tablet is rated for up to 4.5 hours and 5 hours respectively, while also offering up to 6 hours for web surfing, 15 hours of music listening, and 25 hours if you plan to use it to make phone calls. All of this is pretty decent and while we wouldn’t say that the Blackview 8 WiFi Tablet has the biggest battery we’ve ever seen, it should be more than sufficient for most needs.
Under the hood of the Blackview 8 WiFi Tablet, it will be powered by a quad-core chipset and is accompanied by 4+3GB of RAM for a total of 7GB should the situation ever call for it. It also comes with 128GB of storage, but there is the option to expand it further for up to 1TB if you need extra memory.
That being said, we should note that a lot of devices these days tend to sport octa-core chipsets, so the choice to go for a quad-core setup means that it might not be as powerful as some of the competitors out there, but we should also mention that it really depends on what you plan to use it for.
The Blackview 8 WiFi Tablet isn’t being marketed towards users who play a lot of intensive games or need to run super resource heavy applications, so if that’s what you need a tablet for, then you’ll have to spend a lot more money to get the device you’re after.
Instead, if you’re after a tablet for web surfing, video watching, maybe play some light games, or do some school work, then the Blackview 8 WiFi Tablet will be more than capable of getting the job done. For gamers, Blackview has included some software optimizations with its Game Mode too that’s part of its Doke OS_P 3.0 that the tablet runs on.
Also, if you’re the type of person that uses their tablet’s cameras to take photos, the Blackview 8 WiFi Tablet will come with a dual camera setup on the back featuring an 8MP + 13MP camera combo. There are also a pair of built-in stereo speakers.
The price of the Blackview 8 WiFi Tablet is probably its main selling point. The tablet is normally priced at $299.99, which is already a pretty decent price for a tablet, but right now the company is actually running a promotion where if you use the TAB8WIFI6USD code upon checkout at Amazon, you’ll knock 60% off its price, bringing it down to a very affordable $113.99!
This deal will only run for a few days, starting from the 10th of July until the 13th of July, so you’ll want to hurry if you want to save yourself a ton of money!
