Final Fantasy Ever Crisis’ Closed Beta goes live for the USA, Canada, and Japan

It’s taken a bit of time, but it looks like Square Enix has finally allowed players to register for Final Fantasy Ever Crisis’ closed beta. The beta program is currently only available for Android devices, so it looks like Apple fans are out of luck at the moment. Additionally, the beta has only been made available for players in the USA, Canada, and Japan, at least until more regions are given access.

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII franchise has certainly not been slept on in recent times, spewing several spin-offs and a few remakes and ports throughout the years (the original game is also available on Google Play). Ever Crisis was announced alongside a slew of other Final Fantasy VII projects, including the First Soldier, a battle royale mobile game which has since been shut down back in January 2023.

Fans should keep an eye out for further developments regarding the game’s official launch, pricing, and more. The title will follow an episodic format, which encompasses the events of Final Fantasy VII, as well as several other spin-off games – including the popular “Crisis Core” – in the franchise.

If you live outside the aforementioned countries, we recommend that you pre-register for the game over at Google Play in case the beta phase is released for your respective region.
