Insta360 recently announced the launch of its latest action camera, the Go 3. The newer model picks up where its predecessor left off, with an interesting set of hardware and software features.
The Insta360 Go 3 comes with a compact and lightweight design, measuring at just 35 grams. The camera’s IPX8-certified chassis can be magnetically attached to compatible mounts, with an instant record button that allows users to quickly start shooting footage. There’s an expansion pack by way of the Action Pod, which adds a viewfinder screen, as well as additional controls and longer battery life of up to 170 minutes of recording time.
The main highlight of the Go 3 is its lens, which comes with f2.2 aperture and a focal length of 11.24mm. Users can shoot a maximum resolution of 2720×1536 at 24/25/30fps in MP4 format, with video stabilization via a gyroscope. Other details include storage options in either 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 and 5GHz Wifi, in addition to connectivity with iOS and Android devices for content editing and exporting.
The Insta360 Go 3 starts at $379.99 for the base camera unit, although there are additional bundles including an Action Kit for $414, Travel Kit for $429, Water Sports Kit for $453, Bike Kit for $469, and a Creator Kit for $444.
