OnePlus Ace 2 Pro could launch with a crazy amount of RAM

Recently, it was suggested that some smartphone makers were preparing to launch phones with 24GB of RAM, and now we know at least one of the models that could be part of that launch.

This is according to a post by Digital Chat Station on Weibo (post has since been taken down) where they claim that the handset in question could be the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro. Apparently the phone will launch with a 24GB RAM configuration, while 16GB could be the base model.

Other rumored specs of the phone include the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chipset, along with a 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, a 5,000mAh battery, and support for 100W charging. It will also feature 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage. As for the cameras, it has been suggested that it might pack a 64MP OmniVision sensor that will be accompanied by an 8MP Sony sensor with an ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP GalaxyCore macro lens.

There is currently no word on when the phone will be launched, but seeing as Qualcomm themselves haven’t announced the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chipset, we doubt it will be anytime soon. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll be keeping a look out for more details when they become available.
