Samsung’s AI-powered photo editor app is now available for download

While our smartphone cameras take pretty great photos, sometimes there are certain things out of our control when we take a picture. For example, the lighting isn’t ideal, the sky might be overcast, or there are just some hardware limitations in our phone’s cameras that cannot capture what we picture in our minds.

This is where photo editing apps come in, where with a few smartly-placed tweaks here and there, you can take an otherwise boring image and make it look good. Now, if you’re new to photo editing or can’t be bothered to do it yourself, if you own a Samsung phone, then you’re in luck as Samsung has announced the availability of its Galaxy Enhance-X app.

For those unfamiliar, the app was launched last year but was pulled. It later relaunched on the Galaxy S23 series in beta form, but now it looks like it’s out of beta and is available for select premium Samsung phones.

The app relies on the use of AI where it will be able to help edit images in a single tap. This means that if you’re unsure or unfamiliar with all these image editing terms, you don’t have to worry about it as the AI will come up with the best possible edit for you. For example, it can upscale low-res images, make images brighter, enhance the colors and dynamic range of photos, all with a single tap. Users can make additional fine tunings themselves, but for the most part the AI will do the heavy lifting.

According to Samsung, the app will be available for the Galaxy S23 series, S22 series, S21 series, S20 series, Note20 series, Z Fold4, Z Flip4, Z Fold3, Z Flip3, Z Fold2, Z Flip 5G and Z Flip and can be downloaded here.
