While Google’s Pixel Watch has proven to be one of its more popular products under the Pixel device line, there’s no doubt that fans are still looking forward to an upgrade with this year’s Pixel Watch 2. New information has uncovered some interesting tidbits about the upcoming wearable, although fans looking forward to a massive upgrade might want to keep their expectations in check.
According to a report from the folks over at 9to5Google, data found within a recent Google app update points to the existence of an “Eos” code name, which is very much expected to be the Pixel Watch 2. More interestingly, an included animation shows the same design assets from last year’s model, as seen below.
Of course, there’s also a chance that this might be a simple placeholder until Google updates the associated visual assets for the Pixel Watch 2. At the moment, there’s been no official word from google regarding the device, which was thought to make an appearance during Google I/O back in May.
In any case, any predictions as to the Watch’s design are still to be confirmed, that is of course unless someone leaks the wearable itself (or a prototype at the very least).
