In terms of Android hardware, one of the biggest and most welcome changes in recent years is the increased effort of manufacturers to provide more timely and constant software update support for their devices, ensuring that users aren’t left with outdated functionality. With that in mind, it looks like Oppo will be pushing updates for several of its smartphones, according to new information online.

More specifically, eleven Oppo models will be getting Android 14, the next iteration of the world’s most popular smartphone OS. The phones scheduled for the update include the following:

  • Oppo A98
  • Oppo A78
  • Oppo A77
  • Oppo A57
  • Oppo Reno 8 Pro
  • Oppo Reno 8
  • Oppo Reno 8T
  • Oppo Reno 7
  • Oppo Find X5
  • Oppo Find X5 Pro
  • Oppo Find X3 Pro

With that being said, it’s refreshing to see support for some of Oppo’s more budget-friendly midrange handsets, in addition to flagship devices like the Find X5 series. There’s no specific date yet however, so we’ll have to keep a lookout for future information regarding Oppo’s update schedule.

As for Android 14, the operating system is still undergoing the later stages of its beta development, and is scheduled to launch sometime later this year. You can check out some of the latest updates to its Developer Preview version, which we’ve compiled here.
