Samsung Galaxy A53 Gets the June 2023 Update

0

While Samsung’s Galaxy A53 has now been succeeded by the 2023 Galaxy A54, the company has pretty much remained consistent in providing updated software patches for its older handset. With that said, a new update has finally arrived for the US variant of the phone, which features the latest June 2023 software patch.

The new update comes with software version number A536USQS6CWE5 and is now available for Dish Wireless users, although we can expect other carriers to follow suit soon. The new update brings some fixes for security and stability issues for the Galaxy A53, including issues with the Exynos chips and knox security. Launched back in 2022, the Samsung Galaxy A53 was one of several A-series handsets, which are meant to compete in the mid-range smartphone segment against phones like Google’s Pixel “A” smartphones. It came with a plastic build, an AMOLED display, and Samsung’s Exynos 1280 chip.

The phone also launched with Android 12, and received an update to Android 13 with Samsung’s One UI 5.1 software update.

To check if your device can download the newest update, simply head into Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to check if your device is eligible for the latest system update.
