To make its subscription more enticing, especially with all the competing services around, a couple of years ago, Netflix announced that they would be getting into gaming where they would be offering mobile titles to its subscribers for free as part of their subscription package.
The library of games has been growing over the years, and now Netflix has announced five additional new titles that they will be adding to its lineup. This includes The Queen’s Gambit Chess, Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, Cut the Rope Daily, Paper Trail, LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed, and Too Hot to Handle 2.
As expected from Netflix, some of the titles they launched do tie-in to some of its shows. For example, some of the titles the company first released were related to the Stranger Things series. It’s a good way for Netflix to give its subscribers more reasons to keep subscribed, and also to constantly remind them of the shows in their library.
That being said, these games will not all launch at once. Oxenfree II will be released on the 12th of July, which will then be followed by The Queen’s Gambit Chess on the 25th of July. Next will be Cut the Rope Daily on the 1st of August, while LEGO and Paper Trail currently do not have a launch date specified except to say that they will be coming soon.
