In terms of foldable phones, we have to say that we enjoy the flip form factor a lot more than the tablet form factor. There’s just something nostalgic about the flip phone design, plus it also makes the phone a lot more compact, a bit of a rarity these days when manufacturers are trying to make their phones as big as possible.
That being said, if you’re after a new flip foldable, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra could be it and if you’re wondering what that looks like, Evan Blass has posted a tweet on his account (private) showing what appears to be the official video ad for the upcoming handset.
One of the new and exciting features of the upcoming phone is that the outer display will be enlarged to 3.5-inches, which basically covers almost half of the phone’s exterior, and we have to say that it looks good. Keep in mind that 3.5-inches was kind of the display size of phones back in the day, so in a way you’re essentially getting two phones for the price of one!
The larger external display also makes it a lot more functional, as the ad seems to suggest. There will be a lot more that users will be able to do with the larger display and that’s a good thing. Motorola is expected to officially announce the handset on the 1st of June, so if you are keen, do check back with us next week for all the official details.
