Nintendo’s Biggest Game for 2023 Finally Hits Store Shelves

0

Six years after the launch of the breath-taking (pun intended) “Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U, the Japanese gaming giant has finally launched the sequel to one of its biggest games ever with “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” – the game officially hit stores on May 12, just in time for the weekend.

The game takes place after the events of Breath of the Wild, building on the open-world elements introduced by its predecessor. Nintendo has added some new gameplay elements as well, including the ability to let players interact with items and environments in a more in-depth manner, allowing for more creative approaches when tackling the game’s puzzles and obstacles.

Tears of the Kingdom’s launch follows the return of Advance Wars Re-Boot Camp, another fan-favourite Nintendo franchise which takes the first two Advance Wars games for the Gameboy Advance and gives them updated visuals and features.

If you’re planning on getting the game, Tears of the Kingdom is now available from Nintendo and major video game retailers, as well as third-party sellers such as Amazon. Should you opt for a digital copy of the game however, it weighs in at around 16GB worth of download space. Nintendo has also released a special-edition Switch, with a snazzy-looking design that features visual elements lifted from the Legend of Zelda games.
