Google Pixel Tablet with Charging Speaker Dock Lifestyle Photography

The Pixel Tablet is Google’s first Android tablet in a long time

The last time we saw a Google-branded Android tablet was back in 2015 when the company launched the Pixel C. Since then, the company hasn’t really released any new Android tablets, but in 2022, Google teased an upcoming Android tablet in the form of the Pixel Tablet.

It was initially thought that it would launch in 2022, but it wasn’t, but for those who have been eagerly awaiting the device, it is finally here.

One of the unique features and selling points of the Pixel Tablet is that it is meant to double as an Android tablet and a smart display at the same time, thanks to the Charging Speaker Dock accessory that doubles as a speaker and acts as a dock for you to place the tablet and charge it at the same time when not in use, or if you want to use it as a smart display to stream video from smart doorbells, home security cameras, and so on.

When docked, the tablet can also go into “Hub Mode”, where it can also be used as a digital photo frame.

In terms of its specs, the Pixel Tablet is powered by the Google Tensor G2 chipset which was used in the 2022 Pixel 7 smartphones. The device also features a nano-ceramic coating that gives it a porcelain feel with a matte finish, along with an 11-inch display that has a 2560×1600 resolution that uses an LCD panel.

It also comes with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and boasts a battery that is capable of up to 12 hours of video streaming. There will also be an 8MP on the front and back of the tablet that comes with similar software features that you might have seen on Google’s Pixel phones, like Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and so on.

The tablet will be available this month starting at $499, with the dock bundled for free.
