WhatsApp allows users to make voice calls through the app, giving them an alternative to using the regular phone app on their devices. Like most voice calls, you can see calls you’ve received, calls you’ve made, as well as calls that you have missed.
Now, the missed calls feature is a bit contentious for Android users. This is because at the moment, the way it has been designed, it isn’t quite as obvious. This is because the name of the caller for missed calls and regular calls look the same, with the main difference being the red and green arrows, with the red arrow indicating a call that’s been missed.
This means that for users who might be less observant, this isn’t particularly obvious, but WhatsApp is doing something to address it. In the latest Android beta of the app, the folks at WABetaInfo have discovered some minor UI changes where missed calls are now displayed in red.
Keep in mind that this only applies to the Android version of the app. This is because for iOS users, WhatsApp already displays missed calls in red to allow it to stand out. We’re not sure why the Android version of the app wasn’t given the same treatment, but we suppose better late than never.
