Nokia’s New Rugged Phone Makes its Debut

After making its initial presence felt via leaks not too long ago, Nokia’s new XR21 has been officially announced, and takes over for the Nokia XR20 from a couple of years back. The handset’s main highlight is its rugged design, although it does come with a set of interesting hardware specifications.

In terms of design, the phone comes with a heavy-duty looking exterior frame, which does resemble its predecessor, and even features MIL-STD-810H level durability. This surrounds the 6.49-inch IPS LCD display, which comes with a 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate in addition to Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, backed by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

For optics, there’s a dual-camera setup on the rear panel with a 64MP and 8MP camera combo, joined by a 16MP camera on the front. Other details include a 4800 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging, a 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD card slot, stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

In terms of availability, the phone will come priced at £499, and will be available in gray and green color variants.
