More Details Emerge on Nokia’s XR20 Successor

Just recently, several images of an upcoming Nokia Android phone were leaked online, showing off a rugged design that resembles the Nokia XR20 from a while back. With that being said, new details have emerged regarding the yet-to-be-released device, which is now known as the “Nokia XR21.”

While initial reports referred to the device as the Nokia Sentry and XR30, it looks like there’s a high chance that the phone will debut with the XR21 branding, and will retain the rugged aesthetics of its predecessor.

It’s no flagship smartphone however, should the rumored specs sheet be confirmed. At the moment, it’s expected that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, alongside 6 GB RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, and will feature a new 6.49-inch LCD screen with a 2400×1080 pixel resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is also said to come with Gorilla Glass Victus protection. As for optics, the XR21 will come packing a 64 MP main camera sensor, an additional 8MP sensor, and a selfie camera with a 16 MP sensor.

Other details include a 4800 mAh battery, and Android 12 with software and security updates until 2027. While the phone hasn’t been officially announced by Nokia, it’s rumored to come with a $499 price tag once it makes its debut.
