The Beats Studio Buds+ Takes a Page from Nothing’s Playbook

0

Nothing’s arrival on the consumer electronics scene was nothing (pun intended) short of interesting, introducing a revival of sorts to tech products with transparent visual designs thanks to its Nothing Ear (1) and Phone (1). As such, it was only a matter of time before we saw other brands adopt this approach to design.

With that said, the latest brand to hop on the see-through design craze is Apple’s Beats brand, with the Beats Studio Buds+. The earbuds were initially spotted in a now-deleted product listing on Amazon, which pointed towards a May 18 launch date.

The listing also mentioned a $169.95 price, with black and ivory color variants in addition to the transparent design of the eaburds and charging case. Other hardware details include larger microphones, improved active noise cancellation, longer battery life with up to 36 hours of usage, IPX4 water resistance, instant pairing, support for Siri and Apple “Find My,” as wel as compatibility with both iOS and Android devices.

In addition to its Airpod line of audio gear, Apple’s acquisition of the Beats brand has expanded its range of wireless audio accessories including headphones and earbuds, although the Airpods Max and Pro series continue to be the brand’s “flagship” audio products.
