One of the issues with foldable phones designed in the clamshell style is that its external display is borderline useless. While it is useful for display notifications, for the most part it is too small to be used for anything other than that.
The good news is that if you like the concept of flip phones but hate their tiny displays, then the upcoming Motorola Razr 2023 could be the phone for you. This is according to a post made on Weibo by Lenovo Group President, Chen Jin, where he teased that the external display on the company’s next-gen Razr will be 3.x-inches.
As it stands, the 2022 Razr had an external display measuring 2.7-inches, and if the rumors are true, Motorola could be bumping it up to 3.5-inches, which is quite a considerable jump. It would also make it bigger than the Oppo Find N2 Flip, which at the moment has the largest external display for a flip phone.
Motorola had previously confirmed the existence of their next Razr phone but stopped short of announcing its launch. The company did post a recent teaser which hinted that an announcement could be soon, so hopefully we’ll have all the official specs in the near future.
