Not too long ago, we got word that Xiaomi’s new Smart Band 8 was set for a product release this April, and it looks like Xiaomi has finally announced its newest wearable device to the public.
Currently exclusive for Chinese markets, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 comes with your usual array of standard fitness-tracking functionality, including heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, blood oxygen level tracking, as well as around 150 different sports modes. The tracker’s design also comes with a 1.62-inch AMOLED screen with touch support, and Xiaomi says that the battery can last for up to 16 days.
As for external design, the Smart Band 8 comes with a metal texture look, which comes with much-welcome 5 ATM water resistance, and a design that lets users conveniently swap out their straps with different ones. It should also be noted that the device comes in two versions which includes a “standard” model, and a slightly more expensive variant which comes equipped with NFC functionality.
As mentioned earlier, the Smart Band 8 is not yet available for international markets, so we’ll have to wait a bit for a formal announcement from Xiaomi with regards to pricing and availability. Source: Xiaomi
