Qualcomm’s next chipset could make it a gaming beast

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is an incredibly powerful chipset and there’s no doubt about that. It is also one of the most powerful chipsets in the market right now and has the capability to run pretty much any game you throw at it, but its successor could be even better.

According to a report out of China, it has been suggested that for Qualcomm’s next-gen chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the company is looking to boost its GPU capabilities. Right now, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 uses the Adreno 740 GPU, and now the report claims that the next-gen GPU, possibly called the Adreno 750, could offer up an increase of 50% in speed.

So, what does this mean for end-users? With a faster GPU, phones and tablets using it will be able to handle games a lot better, where it can squeeze out the best possible performance in terms of textures, resolution, and frame rates. It will also allow developers to create games that are of higher quality since they know that phones will be able to handle it.

Also, if Qualcomm were to use this new GPU for Snapdragon powered computers, it could also unlock a lot of potential in terms of gaming and productivity. That being said, Qualcomm hasn’t announced anything yet. When they do, it will be much later in the year so take it with a grain of salt for now.
