Chinas Big Three come together to make moving phones easier

For some people, starting from a blank slate with nothing on it and customizing it fresh from the ground up just doesn’t appeal to them. And who can blame them! For most people, their smartphone is a primary tool in their arsenal, and they want it to be up and running as soon as possible.

Thankfully, for Oppo, Xiaomi and Vivo users this is going to suddenly become a heck of a lot easier. Most of us on the western side of the world will know that from Pixels to Samsungs, there is always a screen that prompts you to move your content from your old phone to your new phone. This functionality simply didn’t exist for our friends over in China. Today, thankfully, that has changed.

In a press release on Weibo, a Chinese social network, Oppo, Xiaomi and Vivo announce that the three will now be working together to create a solution where transferring your data from one device to the other will be streamlined. Going from an Oppo or Vivo to a Xiaomi, users will be using the Mi Replacement tool. While Xiaomi to Oppo users will be able to use the “Huantai Mobile Moving – Replacement Assistant”. Hopefully, this will see a turn in the tide for more cooperation between OEMs in future in order to make customers’ lives easier regardless of where you live in the world.

With the latest release of the Xiaomi Redmi 12 series line there has not been a better time to check out what the Chinese market has to offer. Especially when the price range starts from an exceptionally competitive EUR 199 to EUR 499. There is a lot to like in these budget-tier phones that pack a big punch! Which would you choose out of the latest lineup?
