Infinix’s 260W Charging Feature is Insanely Impressive

When it comes to fast-charging technology, we’ve seen a lot of modern smartphones go above and beyond what’s technically possible with current battery technology, as the race for the fastest charging features pushes on through. Several brands including Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo to name a few keep pushing the boundaries of fast-charging technology, often zooming past more “mainstream” brands like Apple and Samsung, which have so far kept a more “moderate” approach to this sought-after feature.

With that said though, perhaps the fastest fast-charging Android phone we’ve seen in a while is the Infinix Zero Ultra. Launched several months back in late 2023, the phone features a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 180W fast-charging speeds – there is a catch, though.

What we have here (as seen in the video) is a customized variant of the Infinix Zero Ultra, designed specifically to showcase the capabilities of the 260W All-Round FastCharge and 110W Wireless All-Round FastCharge technologies. The video shows the Infinix Zero Ultra charging from 0-100% in less than 8 minutes using a 260W charger

As impressive as it might look however, the technology featured in this special variant is currently not available for purchase in markets and retail. Infinix says that at the moment, there are zero (pun intended) plans to make this modified variant of the phone available for buyers.

It should be noted however that Infinix’s All-Round FastCharge feature will be made available in the upcoming NOTE series this 2023. This will include a plethora of features such as reverse charging, bypass charging, multi-protocol charging, to name a few.
