One of the selling points of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is its cameras. Samsung’s cameras are pretty reputable and over the years, its Galaxy S-series has taken some of the best smartphone photos. Unfortunately for Galaxy S23 owners, it appears that there might be an issue with the cameras this year.
According to reports from a variety of platforms including German tech forums, Reddit, and the Samsung Community board, owners of the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus are noticing an issue with their cameras where images, especially those that might contain text like documents, are exhibiting a weird banana/ring-shaped blur.
If that is the case, Samsung might need to start offering customers either a replacement unit or start recalling these devices in to change the camera module. At the moment the company has yet to issue a statement, so if you are experiencing a similar issue with your Galaxy S23 or S23 Plus, know that you’re not alone in this.
There is some hope because as PhoneArena notes, Samsung is planning on issuing an update to its camera software soon, so maybe this could potentially fix the problem.
