A while back, Honor launched its new Magic5 Pro flagship during MWC 2023 in Barcelona, giving us a smartphone which packs some pretty impressive hardware compared to the more affordable Magic5 phones. More recently, the company launched a new addition to the Magic5 handset series, albeit with a catch.
While the new phone sports the “Ultimate” branding, the phone is actually the same device as the Magic5 Pro, with a few changes to the external styling and specs sheet. More specifically, the phone maxes out the RAM and internal storage to 16GB and 512GB, respectively. Additionally, the phone comes with a vegan leather exterior, available both in black and orange.
As for the other hardware details, the phone comes with the same specs as the Pro variant, such as the 6.81-inch display size, triple-camera set-up, and 5100 mAh battery, all the way down to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip inside the phone. The “Ultimate” variant will be available starting March 20.
At the moment however, the device has been set for a China-only release, and there’s no word at the moment if it will be officially shipped to more markets internationally.
