A lot of smartwatches out there offer some degree of customization through custom watch faces or changing up the straps, but for the most part, that’s where it ends. But Huawei has taken customization to the next level with its latest smartwatch, the Watch GT Cyber, which actually lets you change the bezel and straps at the same time.
One of the unique selling points of the Watch GT Cyber is that users can actually pop out the main portion of the watch and put it into a new case. This means that the innards of the watch remain the same, but you can create a completely new look and choose from more elegant designs to more sporty ones.
If it does eventually open up to third-party accessory makers, then that’s where things could get a bit more interesting. As for the specs, the Watch GT Cyber will feature a 1.32-inch AMOLED display and come with all the usual sensors and features one might expect from a smartwatch.
Huawei has also included a battery that is said to be good for up to 4-7 days which is pretty decent. The Watch GT Cyber will be available in two options – Urban Edition in Golden Black, or Sport Edition available in either Midnight Black or Space Grey. There is no word on pricing or availability just yet.
