Lenovo IdeaPad 3 Chromebook Review 5

Lenovo’s IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook boasts an incredible battery life

One of the reasons why some people prefer using tablets rather than a laptop is that in general, tablets have better battery life than laptops. The downside is the OS of tablets that aren’t as good for certain productivity tasks, plus the lack of a keyboard also makes it a bit hard to use for certain things.

That being said, if you are looking for a laptop that won’t die on you too quickly, then you most definitely want to take a look at Lenovo’s latest laptop, the IdeaPad Slim 3. This is a Chromebook which means that it is powered by Google’s Chrome OS platform. This is a great alternative to macOS and Windows because it is less bloated and it is perfect if you don’t need to do too much on it.

That doesn’t mean that the IdeaPad Slim 3 is a slouch. Under the hood, MediaTek’s Kompanio 500 Series chipset can be found along witn 4-8GB of RAM, depending on your configuration. It also comes with 64GB or 128GB of storage, and boasts a sizeable 14-inch display that comes with either a HD or FHD resolution, depending on your choice.

Now, we spoke about battery life earlier and according to Lenovo, the IdeaPad Slim 3 comes with a battery that they claim will last up to 13.5 hours. That’s a pretty long time for a laptop which also makes the IdeaPad Slim 3 the perfect travel companion where you can use it to watch videos on the plane and get some work done.

There is support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and there are also expansion slots for microSD in case you need to add extra storage to the laptop. If the IdeaPad Slim 3 is a laptop you might be interested in, it will be available come May 2023 and will be priced starting at $340.
