Fans looking to try out a new (albeit rather different) Street Fighter game for mobile platforms might want to check out a newly-announced title, which will make its way to smartphones later this February. Known as “Street Fighter Duel,” the game is currently up for pre-registration via Google Play and the iOS Appstore.
A collaborative effort between CAPCOM and Crunchyroll Games, Street Fighter Duel will incorporate RPG elements, as well as a new campaign that players can progress through. Additionally, there will also be online multiplayer PVP matches, as well as upgradable characters and teams – as per the game’s official page on Google Play:
“Enter the world of Street Fighter like never before with the first mobile RPG game of the franchise – Street Fighter: Duel!
Street Fighter: Duel is the official Street Fighter RPG mobile game for the casual Street Fighter fan, where you can collect and upgrade a team of recognizable fighters and battle your way through an original story or against friends and powerful opponents around the world.”
With that said though, it looks like the game leans towards a free-to-play pricing system, so players looking for a more traditional Street Fighter experience might want to wait and see how the new title plays out.
