Foldable smartphones have certainly been among the most popular devices lately, and their continued traction has seen no slowing down. As such, OPPO finally announced the global launch of the Find N2 Flip, one of its newest foldable devices. The phone comes with a set of impressive hardware features, which OPPO hopes is enough to set it apart from competing handsets – let’s check it out!
In terms of design, the Find N2 Flip comes with a style that’s not too different from competing devices like the Galaxy Z Flip and Motorola Razr Android phones, although it does feature considerably-sized display on its outer shell when folded. It measures 3.26 inches in size, and allows users to check and interact with notifications, messages, and even a digital pet, and also comes with AOD for instant access to important information.
As for the design, the phone features polished aluminium sides which surround a glass cover, as well as a pretty cool wave pattern across the hinge. It also comes with two colors including Astral Black and Moonlit Purple. The main display of the N2 Flip features a large 6.8-inch E6 AMOLED display, which comes with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate – it’s also rather bright with 1600 nits of maximum brightness.
In terms of performance and power, the phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, which to be honest is on par with a lot of mid-range laptops when it comes to memory and storage configurations. The N2 Flip will also ship with Android 13, layered with OPPO’s ColorOS 13. This means that the phone will come with the usual set of OPPO-exclusive apps and software services. A statement from Pete Lau, SVP and Chief Product Officer, OPPO gives folks an idea of what to expect with the Find N2 Flip:

OPPO says that it’s made some improvements with its New Generation Flexion Hinge, which it says provides for a more subtle crease when the display is open. The gap is less pronounced as well to keep out dust and debris, and the company says that the phone is certified to withstand over 400,000 folds and unfolds at standard room temperature. The N2 Flip likewise comes with OPPO’s FlexForm mode, which allows the phone to be used for a variety of situations such as hands-free photography and such.
For optics, the phone features a 50MP main camera with Sony’s IMX890 sensor, with an f/1.8 lens, with support for 4K video recording. This is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera, as well as a 32MP Sony IMX709 selfie camera for video calls and such. Of course, OPPO has also equipped the phone with its MariSilicon X imaging NPU, which it says can boost low-light performance.
Additionally, OPPO adds that its camera set-up was co-developed with camera manufacturer Hasselblad, and likewise comes with software features like pro-grade colours, a fully featured Professional Mode, and its “XPAN mode” which can freeze time in a wide, cinematic frame.
As for battery, the Find N2 Flip comes with a massive 4,300 mAh battery, which comes with support for 44W SUPERVOOC charging, which allows users to fully charge their battery to 100 percent in under an hour.
The Find N2 Flip will be available for pre-order starting on February 15, for £849 in the UK.
