One of the biggest advantages in getting a Google Pixel device is that the phones receive regular monthly software updates, which are rather consistent. As such, Google has finally released the latest February 2023 patch for Pixel phones, which comes with some fixes for software features.
The update is now available for several Pixel handsets, which include the Pixel 7 series, Pixel 6 series, and older devices like the Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, and Pixel 4a. It also features several fixes for the following issues, as detailed on Google’s official support page:
- Accessibility – Fix for issue preventing touch interaction with Braille keyboard in certain conditions
- Audio – Fix for issue occasionally causing instability while Clear Calling is enabled in certain conditions
- Bluetooth – Fix for issue occasionally preventing connection with certain Bluetooth devices or accessories
- Framework – Fix for issue occasionally preventing Work profile calendar information from updating in the background
Google’s security updates typically arrive within the first week of the month. You can check if the update is available in your region by opening your Pixel’s “Settings” app, heading to “System,” and tapping on “System Update.” Do note that the update might be available at a different date if your phone is carrier-locked.
