Netflix’s Premium tier just got a lot more attractive
Netflix has several subscription tiers to its service, with the most expensive being the Premium one. This offers users the ability to stream content in 4K, as well as watch it on multiple devices simultaneously.
Given its price, there might be some who shy away from subscribing to it, even though there are some benefits to the tier, but now it looks like Netflix has announced that they will be further enhancing its Premium tier with new features to make it a more attractive option for customers.
This includes the rolling out of support for spatial audio across the platform’s top 700 titles, such as Stranger Things, The Watcher, Wednesday, and Knives Out: Glass Onion. The next update will come in the form of support for more devices for downloaded content. Previously, Netflix’s Premium tier only supported downloading offline content to four devices, but with this change, it will now support as many as six.
This means that if you carry around multiple devices that you might want to watch shows offline from, the increase to six supported devices will give you more flexibility. Seeing as how many of us own smartphones and tablets, supporting more devices will let users switch back and forth quickly and easily, so it might be something to look forward to.
