As far as smartphone software support goes, Samsung has been quite consistent in providing some of its older devices with new software patches. As such, a new update has finally arrived for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, which features the latest January 2023 software patch.
The new update comes with software version number G770FXXS6HWA2, and is now available for users in Spain, although it should most likely be released for more regions in the coming days and weeks. The new update brings some fixes for security and stability issues for the device. Launched back in 2020, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite was intended as a “midrange” version of Samsung’s S10 flagship series (similar to the FE series handsets).
The phone also received Android 13 last year, although that would be the last major software upgrade for the phone, which at this point is nearing three years old, a rather long life span for an Android phone. With that said, Samsung will provide a few more monthly updates for the S10 Lite until April of this year.
To check if your phone can download the newest update, simply head into Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to check if your device is eligible for the latest system update.
