Last year, Nothing announced that they are looking to expand their operations in the US where they would be bringing their phones to the US market. Prior to this, the Nothing Phone (1) launched in a variety of countries and regions around the world, but the US market was not one of them.
If you’re looking to get your hands on the Nothing Phone (1), then you’re in luck because Nothing has since started to sell the handset stateside. But there is a catch, and that catch is that Nothing is selling the Nothing Phone (1) as part of a beta membership program. According to the company:
“Please note, the Phone (1)’s distributed are for testing purposes. Whilst these are final models, devices may not work with all US carriers. Since this is a Beta version of the software, users may experience some limitations.”
The upside here is that the phone is being sold for less than what it launched for. Instead of paying around $480 for the handset, customers would only need to pay $299, but like we said, there is a catch which is that you might encounter some issues when using the phone as its software is still in beta.
This seems to be aimed more towards users who don’t mind being part of a beta program or hardcore fans who have been meaning to get their hands on the phone. We imagine that eventually Nothing will get around to releasing a fully working handset in the US, so maybe that might be worth waiting for instead.
