Samsung to Launch Mystery Galaxy “A” Model this January

It’s no secret that Samsung launches multiple smartphones throughout the year, with different models for different regions (although most end up being similar across different markets), and it looks like the company is gearing up for another launch soon. Samsung’s Indian website has posted a registration page for an upcoming Galaxy A-series device, set to be revealed on January 18.

No official product number has been given for the phone yet, although Samsung teased some of the hardware features. The phone in question will come with in several colors including Black, Blue, Chrome, Burgundy, and Green, a 6.6-inch 120Hz display, an “AI-powered intelligent battery,” “no-shake cam,” and a “superfast 5G processor.” No specifics were given unfortunately, so fans will have to wait a few more days before the big reveal and full set of specs are released.

This follows the launch of the Galaxy A14, which was shown off during CES 2023. Another entry-level A-series phone, the A14 features a 6.6-inch 90Hz display, a 5,000 mAh battery, Android 13 with Samsung’s One UI software as well as Samsung-exclusive apps, and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, partnered with 4GB of RAM. There’s a triple-camera set-up onboard which consists of a 50MP (F1.8) main camera, a 2MP (F2.4) macro camera, and a 2MP (F2.4) depth camera, and 13MP selfie camera in front.
