Last year, OnePlus launched the mid-range OnePlus Ace. It was a phone that was decently specced and came with features like really fast charging. If you missed out on it and were hoping to see a sequel, then you might be in luck because the OnePlus Ace 2 might have recently been certified over in China.
This is according to a report from 91mobiles where a handset from OnePlus has received the Chinese CMIIT certification. While the name of the handset was not revealed, it does bear the model number PHK110, which has led to speculation that the handset’s launch could be close at hand.
According to the rumored specs, some of the features that the handset could be packing include a 5,000mAh battery support for 100W charging over USB-C, and interestingly enough it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, meaning that it is most definitely not a mid-ranger as the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is a flagship chipset from 2022.
It is also rumored to come with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and will also feature a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 50MP main shooter alongside two other cameras. The phone’s display is also said to measure in at 6.7-inches with a FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
It is unclear when the OnePlus Ace 2 is expected to be announced. Given that its predecessor was announced in April 2022, we expect the OnePlus Ace 2 to also be announced around the same time this year.
