Samsung could share more of its chipset plans next month

0

Samsung currently develops its own chipsets in the form of the Exynos lineup. The company uses it together with Qualcomm chipsets depending on the region, although in recent years, it seems that more people are expressing their dissatisfaction with the Exynos series.

Now, according to a rumor from last year, it has been suggested that Samsung is actually putting together a new team to develop chipsets specifically for their phones, which they will now apparently be sharing some details about their progress next month.

This is according to a tweet by Ice Universe who claims that Samsung will be sharing more information about their Galaxy specific chipset at the Galaxy Unpacked event in February where the Galaxy S23 will be announced. It’s probably safe to assume that this chipset will not be debuting in the Galaxy S23, and that it will most likely make an appearance in the Galaxy S24 at the earliest, although we expect that the Galaxy S25 will be the most likely candidate.

It will be interesting to see what kind of changes Samsung could be bringing to the table that would improve on the Exynos and potential beat out what Qualcomm has to offer, so we guess we’ll have to wait until next month to find out more.
